Street Music And Other Music Type

Street Music has become a popular style of music.  Different forms of music help in soothing one’s disrupted soul, in the growth of concentration and also enliven us to live life to the fullest extent. There are diverse types of music as people have various tastes. The goal of all music is to touch the core of the heart and thus music can be called an expression of our heart’s saying.

Rock music came into existence in the rock and roll era of the 1950s. Elvis Presley and The Beatles are considered to be the innovators of rock music. Rock music has its focus primarily on guitars, drums and heavy vocals. However, use of piano, synthesizer, saxophone, flute, mandolin and sitar has recently been witnessed in the modern rock era. These instruments are generally used to create a deeper impact. Over the years, rock music has varied into various genres like hard rock, metal rock, progressive rock etc.  On the other hand, classical music is the main kind of music, and refers primarily to the music which prevailed in the world before the 20th century. Classical music is a complex form of music and needs intensive training and knowledge. Classical music might also refer to the local and folk music of any particular country or region. In the world of Western music, the works of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven are defined as classical music.

Heavy metal music, also called ‘information music’, started out after the Second World War. It includes various sub-genres, such as thrash metal, death metal, black metal and so on. The most crucial requirement of a heavy metal band is the presence of at least one electronic guitarist. There might be a few soft and subtle pieces, but most of the songs are loud, fast and aggressive with some heavy use of the guitar and drums, and lot of screaming, mostly in death metal. Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath were a few of the famous bands of this genre.

One type of street music is rap music.  Hip-hop music began among the Black American during the 1970s, with a deep influence from the Jamaican music. Hip hop employs bass as the main instrument and includes rapping and audio mixing. Bob Marley and Roberts Nesta Marley were the innovators in popularizing hip-hop music. By 2000, hip-hop made its method to the world music charts, and now with the achievement of hip-hop musicians, hip-hop is going places around the globe.

Rap music is another type of street music.  Rap music is a creation of an American minority. It was widely believed the rap music, as a fad will not see the test of time.  But it’s got already been around for nearly 20 years. Street Hip Hop music can be tracked to the West African professional singers and storytellers. Rap music was an offshoot of the Hiphop culture – recognized by graffiti and break dancing. Rap music has been influenced considerably by Jamaican music. The Bronx in New York City was the originating hub of rap music.
